Another year is going to be over but things haven't exactly gone according to how I wanted it to be. It was even better! What an interesting one it has been! We've all had a phenomenal year but we've also had our share of problems too. We all have been introduced to something new throughout the year. New skills, environment, interests, friends... Things may have gone badly, lessons have been learnt. It's important to remember that we've learnt some valuble lessons. So now's the time to pick ourselves up for the challenges ahead and make lesser mistakes. There's always room for improvement. I couldn't possibly end this post without thanking my family/friends who had been there for me. Love them all.

I'd say, 2009 has been a fruitful year!

Well.... 2009 was Great.

It's been a year. Wow.

Orientation

Orientation was ok today. Not bad, quite fun. Elaborate more some other day. Ciao. 


Everyday that we don't speak is another day I don't need you. And as I slowly stop missing you, I realise that you aren't that important to me anyway.

Thailand 2009

Photos were taken by me unless stated or the obvious - if I am in the photo itself! Hahaha.

Day 1- Reached Suvarnabhumi Airport and my relatives were there to fetch us back to my aunt's house. Nothing much happened. Had a hard time figuring out what my cousins were trying to say. This is proof that i have not spoke thai in a million years. Hehe.

Day 2- Didnt go anywhere! Rest!

Day 3- We went to a beach at... I have no idea where but, yeah! Haha it was fun playing with small kids and all that. Caught crabs with my younger cousin. Fun fun fun!!

Day 4- Went to an antique market that was a 100 years old (wow and i heard there's a 500 years old one) didn't get anything for myself though i chose a really pretty slingshot for my brother! But i had tea before all that :-)

Day 5- Nothing much happened, again :-( Went to take a look at my aunt's new house. Oh and i saw fat caterpillars. That's all.

Day 6- Went to visit my cousin! Chit chat awhile before leaving. The sunset was beautiful that day..

It was difficult trying to capture photos of the sunset as i was sitting at the back of a moving truck but still.. Tadaaa..

 

Day 7- Spam wwe and all the violent games with my brother and younger cousin. Went to fetch my father from the airport at night! I survived without internet for a week and its not so bad since i like this place ;-)

Day 8- Woke up really early and had a heavy breakfast (well we do that everyday). Packed up and all of us left for Kao Yai national park (Mountain)! My father, my mum and my brother went on a same vehicle while i went on another. I like it that way. Haha we reached and there were many monkeys, deers.. I love that place. It was peaceful and it can get kinda chilly.

At 7pm someone drove a truck and picked us up for a ride around the park and to look at all the wild animals. It was already pitch dark!

It was really cold at that time, about 15° C plus the moving truck. Woohoo.

Day 9- Woke up early to take pictures of the sunrise. Went back to sleep after that cause i was too tired.

But the other side was a beautiful shade of blue..

Haha woke up again at about 9am. Packed our stuff and prepared to go off. Had breakfast and we went to the visitor's center and took a look at the waterfalls there.

This tree was actually on a roof (no idea why)! But i took another shot and it looked like..

 It was not very cold then..

After that we headed back to my Grandmother's house at Kamphaeng Phet (Province) and i was really looking forward to going back! It is a really kampong kinda place with lots and lots of mosquitoes, all kinds of weird insects, even snakes. Wahahaha. During our journey back we did stop at this place. It was like a sunflower paradise. I was really tired so i did not have mood to take pictures.

Went for lunch after that! The food was good but what's even better was that a cute little puppy came to play with us when we were eating. Haha really cute.

 

 

 Ummmm..

By the time we reached my Grandmother's house it was about 8pm and my cousin came to see us! He changed a lot cause he was really shy and he wasn't like that in the past! :-O I slept early that night..

Day 10- Woke up at 8am but all my cousins had already left for school :-( After awhile i found out 1 of my younger cousin and niece skipped school to play with me and my brother. Sweet. Show you guys my niece. She's adorable. 

 

She hugs and kisses me everytime she sees me. Damn cute.

Wandered around the place on my own before my mum gave me neoprene socks. We were going to catch fishes, with our hands! Haha. Something new. Mine neoprene socks was really high and it went up to my knee length. They were for protecting our legs and feet from getting any scratches. Hmm the colour of my socks were.... Bright Pink! Lol..

Didn't get used to the feeling of all the fishes swimming around at first. Jump jump jump. It's hilarious.

I managed to catch catfishes! Couldn't catch them with our hands cause they have sharp dunno whats. So I used pails and caught a few. My brother used a net. I fail at using nets he fail at using pails! Look how dirty my arms are! And my lower body! Bleah.

My father took this. Very disgusting but it was a great experience! I wanna do it again next year! :-))))

Bathed and went back to the "fishing spot". They grilled some of the fishes we caught and they sure look tasty. I enjoy looking at them cook stuff outdoors. It's so different and i like it! :-P

Got ready and left for Mae Sot. It is a town in western Thailand that shares a border with Myanmar to the west. The sunset is so pretty there. Why is it so? Haha and why is Singapore's sunset not as beautiful? Beats me.

Searched for a resort/hotel to stay for the night before going for dinner. Found one resort and we paid them straightaway cause the resort was really pretty and it only costs us 1200 Baht! Wow right i know. But after we drove around the resort we saw that no one was staying there except us. My uncle smelt the blankets and said that no one has stayed there for quite awhile. So we got our luggages back and left. We were all too afraid to ask them anything. Or was it me? :-P Got ourselves settle at Centura Hotel. It looked and it was decent enough to put us up for the night. Went for dinner at the hotel and i got really high and i danced around alone until the waiter saw me so i quickly got back to my seat. Lol!

Day 11: Hmm woke up next morning for breakfast at the hotel.

Decided to go to the market there. My father wanted to go over to Burma but at last we decided not to go cause things weren't going on very good there. Better safe than sorry right? But I almost got a Burma stamp stamped on my passport! It's okay.. Went to have lunch after walking around the market!

I forgot what's this called! Ahhhh.

Went back to my grandmother's house and reached at 6pm? Wanted to drive a motorcycle (we do that whenever we go back) cause we were leaving for bangkok the next day. Went with my mum and brother and my 14 year old cousin tagged along, driving another motorcycle. Went to this field at my cousins school to drive the motorcycle with my brother and my cousin watched.

My mum doesn't know how to use a dslr and it was really dark cannot blame her. Sorry for the quality of the pictures! After awhile i wanted to brake but i did something wrong so i fell and the motorcycle landed on me. The engine roared and it was really scary. Lol then my cousin and brother came to lift the motorcycle up. My knee bled and I was left with a few minor cuts and blue blacks. Serve me right for forgetting to release the thingy. Haha played with my cousins when we got back before going out again with all my cousins and relatives to drink and eat. I drank 10 cups of fruit brandy (I think it's fruit brandy?) and on my way back home my head was down and my cousin said i was drunk. I've never been drunk in my whole life so i don't think i was drunk? Haha whatever.

Day 11- I woke up at 6:30am and went to my cousins house (just beside my Grandmother's). Saw my cousin sleeping and went to watch my aunt cook the little fishes we caught that day. Went back after awhile to pack my stuff. Had breakfast with my cousins and all before they left for school. We got our stuff on the truck and left for bangkok. I slept at the back! Haha after the 4-5 hour ride, we reached Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. Had a nice long bath and rest after we checked in before going out again to pray?

Went back to the hotel cause my father wanted to change. He said some guy invited him to Banyan Tree Hotel Bangkok for dinner. Dress code was strict there and I didn't really dress up or whatever cause i was lazy. I asked my father then he said, "Can lah! You small girl only what". Lol. We dined under the stars as it was 59 storeys high and there was no roof. We had a personal waiter.. It was weird.

Epic fail.. I didn't have a tripod with me.

After that my brother and I went to buy really pretty light sticks for christmas. Mine's made of transparent plastic and it looks really cool. My brother's one was made of... Glass I think? They were really cheap too.. Like 35 Baht? :-))))

Fell asleep as soon as I reached our hotel room. Tired.

Day 12- Went to Chatuchak Weekend Market! Not my first time there but it never fails to amaze me with all the pretty and cheap stuff they have there. But in the end I didn't even get anything for myself cause my family and I were all looking for stuff for the new house zzz..

 

 

Went back to the hotel and we watched 2012 together. Took a long bath again before going to Blue Elephant Restaurant (Thai food). The food was average.. They give females orchids when they leave the restaurant! Nothing for guys hehehe.

 

 

 

Went back and fell asleep the moment I rest my head on the pillow while the rest of my family watched Terminator Salvation..

Day 13- My last day here! Woke up at 8am and went for a swim at the hotel's pool. I suntanned for awhile before going back up to bathe and pack up. Left for Suvarnabhumi Airport at 11am.
