Those minutes when I am alone, just me and my pillow. I think. A lot. I think about everything, anything. It varies from "What am I doing with my life?" to "Did I have homework?" The room is so silent, but my mind is so loud. It drives me crazy because the things I would never think about, I think about. Sometimes, I hate it because it brings up things I rather never think about again. The split second before I sleep is the most active second of my life.

Safe Haven is a really good book!! It keeps me occupied in class. School was pretty mundane, most teachers were away and all that the class did was chill and chatter amongst themselves. Few were either scrutinizing the board or building castles in the air. I was semi glued to my seat with my book, I think qinghao was attracted to his book too. Haha I guess the remaining days of school will be pretty much the same.. Anyway what can you expect??

Oh my god I haven't really started training for my 10km run again ever since I stopped and I haven't been attending my basketball trainings as well :( Thank god my leg is recovering well! I went for an xray but there were no signs of fracture, then I went to a Chinese physician instead and I was told I had a dislocated joint ;( So he forced it back to place and I could really hear my bones shift and click. I'm going for my last bball training tomorrow before YOG. Haha really hope coach turns up late. Hope my stamina did not deprove and that training won't be hell for the team. I'll keep my fingers crossed ^^

School has been tedious and I really have a lot to do but at least I can still find time for my friends to catch a movie or two. Caught Despicable Me after the SLC Tea Session last week. Cute show. Caught the Blood Pledge with a whole lot of people today. I've watched lots of horror films but it's my first time watching in a theatre!! Hehe the ghost not as scary as I expected but the music really gives you that eerie feeling that bugs you throughout the whole show. Need to catch up on my sleep, nights!! ;)

I definitely had fun this time. Went for short distance cycle on day 2 with Vanessa, Carl, Grace, Benedict.. About 10km if I'm not wrong? We cycled at constant speed, very very fast. Naomi came over at night so we played Murderer, Piggy, Heart attack, Cheat....... Fun! Played Twister after all the card games.

Guess what! I slept at 0415 and woke up at 0545 and went to school for LDC! With just 90mins of sleep!! Aha I'm a lil' tired now though, after mentoring a group of P5 girls (CHIJ) who were full of zest. They asked me if I was Eurasian caused I spoke with a different accent. HAHAHA cute innocent girls.

Anyway I'm happy today!! I finally have 80 followers, though I'm looking forward to getting my 90th cause I LOVE NUMBER 9!!!!!! Guess I should start following more people ^^

YOG Youth Sports Conference was like awesome only!! I was in IVANOV6, all of us were very quiet, and we kinda sat together in awkward silence on the briefing day. We played a couple of games to break the ice and I'm glad we won the best group award among the other IVANOVs after 3 days!! ^^

Played tennis on Day 3, like finally! The feeling was great but it was kinda boring when the coach taught the basics.. Teehee.

The Conference was great, but the keynote speeches were pretty boring... Time for pictures ;)

HAHAHA

I was feeling a tad blue earlier today but overall, I was still kinda happy I guess!! I took my height and weight today and i went from borderline underweight to healthy weight!! I'm 44kg now ^^ And guess what?? I passed my higher mother tongue for the first time since Secondary 1!! I got 45/90 and i was really shocked when i received my exam script! Went to return my race championchip today at Redhill alone. I managed to find the venue though it took quite awhile to reach my destination ;) Teeehee YLC is tomorrow I'm so excited. Might bring my DSLR there so I can update with photos when I come back on Sunday! Oh and I'm famished, I went on 26 hours without food. I could eat a horse!! I doubt a horse can satisfy my rapacious appetite.. Teehee..

I apologise for not posting during the past...few weeks I guess? Ahh it has been quite some time and many things have have happened. Went on a few study dates before the exams too ^^ Well now I'm glad that the MYE is finally over. Haha I'd say I've not been very busy these few days and I don't like it..

Marriage

“When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce.. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Dew. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce.

She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that everyday for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning.. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Dew about my wife’s divorce conditions.. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully..

My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time.. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly;
it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office…. jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind…I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead.. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

10th grade

11th grade
The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. Graduation Day
A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, "you're my best friend, thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. A Few Years Later
Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl is getting married now. I watched her say "I do" and drive off to her new life, married to another man. Funeral
Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my "best friend". At the service, they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read: I stare at him wishing he was mine, but he doesn't notice me like that, and I know it. I want to tell him, I want him to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love him but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me! `I wish I did too...` I thought to my self, and I cried.

Sports Day 2010 was held today at YCK Stadium once again haha. It was not as fun as last year and all of us were not as high, excluding the face paint part. Teehee ;) Did not win any trophies this year but oh well, did not really expect myself to win anything too, since....... Just felt kinda disappointed as I ran slower than last year and I did not give in my 100%.. Haha went to Novena with Kimberly, Yi Xuan, Tian Long, Yong Jun and Yogi. Then to nebo @ hub!! Played Uno Stacko and HEDBANZ. Me likey! Headed to Kbcc for training after that.

Awesome day ;) If only everyday was like this. Happy happy happy.

Hmmm my yesterday was spent at NSC.. The YOG Training was kinda fun, i was on the same boat as Donovan and I made new friends, Joshua and Ruslee! The sea water was really very very warm and the rain made us freeze, till our teeth chattered. So we put our feet in the water. Haha it got so bad till we took turns to jump off the boat, into the warm sea water. Ahhhh but when we climbed back onto the boat we felt even colder. Teeehee how stupid. After a few hours on the boat i felt kinda weird so i slept....for an hour? I woke up and they told me i missed the whole race. Lol went to shore after an hour or so and i think we were the first to get back. Went to bathe for....20 mins. Haha i couldn't resist cause water was really warm/hot, so much that i saw steam. Edward showed me his boat after that! He seems to be pretty proud of it! ;) Yeah so we went back to school after that.. Terrific day (all my days are goooood).

Oh and on fri we had a friendly match with Bukit Merah Sec held at Greenridge Sec. We lost to them for the first time (we beat them twice during our past 2 matches with them last year)!!! Hmm many mistakes were made during the game, i guess. Oh and i saw Shaun he was there too!!!!!!!

GREAT day. Have to thank Bryan and his Mum for fetching me to Sentosa and back home ;) Swim cycle run...... Hmm i think i did best in swimming among the three!! Haha running after swimming and cycling is kinda.....tough. The 2km seemed like 4km... Anyway glad that i went cause....Great experience.

Went to RI for their investiture and it was interesting!!! :-) We had a school tour and the school is damn huge.. Saw Joel and Bao kun there! Bao kun didn't change much.. Joel is so much taller now, 2 years ago he was taller than me by a few cm and now he is more than 10cm taller than me! Zzzz i want to grow TALLER!

Hmm i had training at Cheng San CC and it rained so it wasn't a tough one, we did theory. Hahaha and i saw Kelvin! ;) Went to Grandeur 8 with Cheryl for the celebration after training. Cheryl taught me how to street surf (waveboard). It was awesome!!!!!! Hahaha i think i left at 8pm and I saw daisy!!!!!!! Great day.
